A familiar crocodile will soon swim into New York. Lacoste announced yesterday that it is not renewing its license with Japan-based Charmant Eyewear, based in but instead signed a contract with Marchon Eyewear, headquartered in Melleville, New York.

The first Lacoste collection from Marchon, comprising 48 sunglasses and 35 ophthalmic frames, will appear at shows starting later this month, with a retail debut planned for January.
