Tipton Eyeworks caught our eye with their early Vinylize frames, made from recycled records, and with their nifty glasses made out of discarded movies, featuring striking scenes on the temple panels. This year brings a new Vinylize collection with brushed finishes that resemble horn or wood, as well as flame red and green models. The fronts are made from salvaged cellulose acetate and the Hungarian eyewear company does all its manufacturing in Europe, from European components.
All the models can be fitted with prescription lenses, and CR39 sunlenses are an option. The company only made 55 frames in each model for this collection. Each comes with a distinctive case made from a 7” vinyl single.
