As of August 1, Centennial Optical will be the Canadian distributor for Hackett London, the bestselling fashion collection from Mondottica, based in Hong Kong. Next year, the Toronto-based company will also begin distributing Anna Sui.

The partnership gives Mondottica national distribution with a company that has a proven track record in Canada. Centennial is already the Canadian distributor for eyewear brands including Jones New York, Barbie and Vera Wang, and has house brands including Alfred Sung, Nygard and Roots. Also, as the Canadian distributor for AO, Sola and Zeiss lenses, it is the country's second-largest lens company.

“We have waited quite some time for this opportunity to partner with Mondottica,” said Centennial's president, Allen Nightingale, in his announcement of the deal. “Mondottica and Centennial share similar values and vision with regard to excellence in products and services.”

Mondottica's other brands include Christian Lacroix and Gio-Goi globally, Ted Baker and Lulu Guinness everywhere outside North America and Pepe Jeans outside North America and Spain.
